“Immersion VIII” by Oliwia Smoleń is an intimate, atmospheric oil painting from 2025. In the square format of 25 x 25 cm, the artist depicts a face submerged in dark waters, illuminated by neon flashes of green, violet, and pink. Precise chiaroscuro modeling and a cool, cinematic palette create the illusion of being beneath the water's surface, where the boundary between light and shadow blurs. The painting is characterized by smooth brushwork and meticulous attention to the details of skin texture and light. This work is an intriguing collectible that will bring a mysterious, modern accent to a private space. The work is signed by the artist and is sold unframed.
