JULIA DEMKOWICZ-DOBRZAŃSKA

Born in 1991 in Warsaw. She studied at the Faculty of Interior Design of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and at École Duperré in Paris, where she completed her diploma in the furniture design studio. Her paintings have appeared, among others, in photo shoots published in "Dobre Wnętrze", "Cztery Kąty", and "Zwierciadło" magazines.

In her painting, she combines realistic forms with delicate abstraction. She is inspired by nature, architecture, light, and space. Themes of silence, intimacy, and solitude frequently recur in her work—moments suspended as if "in-between," when the world slows down for a second.

Her direct inspiration comes from photographs, most often brought back from her travels. She is most moved by urban landscapes and architectural frames, but she is increasingly turning to shots of people and details of nature. In her daily life, apart from painting, she works in interior design.
