JULIA DEMKOWICZ-DOBRZAŃSKA was born in Warsaw in 1991. She studied at the Faculty of Interior Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and at the École Duperré in Paris, where she earned a diploma in furniture design. Her paintings have appeared in photoshoots published in magazines such as Dobre Wnętrze, Cztery Kąty, and Zwierciadło.

In her painting, she combines realistic forms with delicate abstraction. She is inspired by nature, architecture, light, and space. Recurring themes include silence, intimacy, and solitude—moments suspended, as it were, "in between," when the world momentarily slows down. Her direct inspiration usually comes from photographs, most often from travel. She is most deeply moved by cityscapes and architectural shots, but increasingly drawn to shots of people and natural details. In addition to painting, I also work in interior design. In my free time, which is always in short supply, I enjoy being active and moving.
