OLGA SZCZECHOWSKA

Born in 1987 in Radom. She graduated in painting and cultural studies from Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. She lives and works in Warsaw. Nature plays a major role in her creative work – it is both her primary inspiration and the subject of her pieces.

She has been drawing, painting, and creating since childhood, and her current style is the result of many years of exploration and experimentation. A turning point for her was a painting depicting the thuja trees growing in front of her grandmother's house – it was then that she felt she wanted to follow this path and focus on subjects close to her heart.

She most often paints based on her own photographs. She rarely makes preliminary sketches and does not wait for inspiration – she simply sits down to work. For her, the greatest success is the moment her works become part of other people's daily lives, evoking vivid emotions and memories in them.
