Ola Szmida - Girl with a Flower | Gouache on paper

OLA SZMIDA - Director, illustrator and cartoonist. Born in 1987 in Myszków. She studied animated film at the University of Arts in Poznań, then went on a scholarship to the Academy of Media Arts Cologne.

For her work, she has received several awards, including the M.St. Warsaw Literary Award for comics, and a documentary film where she was animation director was featured on The New York Times' Op-Docs list. She has collaborated with: BBC, Ermenegildo Zegna, Boiler Room, Southbank Centre, Rookie mag, Vice Magazine, and Disney Poland, among others.
