“Flows” by Monika Stolarska is a large-format oil painting from 2023 with a vertical composition. The 100 x 60 cm canvas is dominated by organic, undulating lines reminiscent of an intricate root system or underwater currents, radiating outward in the upper part of the composition. The artist uses a subdued pastel palette of subtle shades of sage green, pale violet, gray, and sandy beige, combined with a finely speckled, textured area in the lower part of the painting. Fluid, calligraphic brushstrokes create a sense of continuous motion and harmonious circulation. This work is an excellent choice for spacious interiors that call for a calming yet striking visual structure. The work bears the artist’s signature.

MONIKA STOLARSKA
Born in 1986 in Warsaw, where she currently lives and works. Between 2005 and 2011, she studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. She earned her Master’s degree with a dean's distinction from the Faculty of Painting in the studio of Prof. Wiesław Szamborski, with an additional specialization in the Studio of Art in Public Space under Prof. Mirosław Duchowski.
Since completing her studies, she has combined her own artistic practice with teaching. A key point of reference for her is nature – its rhythm and the way it affects human beings. On the other hand, she draws inspiration from neoplasticism and suprematism, which she considers an ever-relevant source of artistic inquiry.
In her work, she combines biomorphism and organic forms with the mysticism of non-objective painting, building her own unique language of visual expression.
