KATARZYNA WÓJTOWICZ

A visual artist whose work focuses on gouache painting and printmaking. In her pieces, she explores the human figure, drawing inspiration from mid-century aesthetics. She deconstructs classical figurative representations, translating them into her own unique visual language.

A graduate of Graphic Arts and Art & Design at the University of the National Education Commission in Krakow. Her main sources of inspiration are everyday life and 20th-century art. She currently lives and works in Krakow, where she develops painting projects and has recently expanded her practice into the realm of sculpture and functional forms.

She values the work of artists such as Pablo Picasso, Maria Jarema, and Hans Arp. She is fascinated by the geometry and plasticity of the human body, in which she perceives intriguing angles, rhythms, and shapes.
