"The Pianist" is an intimate drawing by Karolina Lubaszko from 2021, full of metaphor. The A5-sized piece (21 x 14.8 cm) depicts a ribbon of piano keys that coils in space, creating a place to sit for a solitary figure. The artist builds a sense of isolation and focus with a deep black background, broken by the bright rhythm of the keys. This unique work on paper is a proposal for lovers of illustration, music, and art with a surreal undertone. The drawing works perfectly as an intimate accent for a home office or bedroom. The artwork is signed by the artist and sold unframed.

KAROLINA LUBASZKO
Illustrator and graphic designer specializing in posters, zines, collages, and editorial design. Born in 1994 in Biała Podlaska, she is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Her work shows strong influences from the aesthetics of the 1950s and 60s, as well as inspiration from vintage postage stamps and packaging with bold shapes and saturated colors.
All of her works are created using analog techniques first, and only undergo digital processing in the later stages. This manual initial creative process allows for a controlled randomness that often gives her work a unique character.
She has participated in numerous projects and exhibitions in Poland and abroad, including in Luxembourg, Berlin, Potsdam, Skopje, and Prague.
