"Archyx" is a large-format, monumental work by Jonasz Koperkiewicz from 2024. The horizontal composition, measuring 120 x 160 cm, is based on a dynamic, vertical interplay of colors – from luminous, deep pinks and reds at the top, to organic, grassy shades of green at the bottom of the canvas. The whole is unified by a minimalist, geometric accent in the center, which introduces an element of order and architectural precision to the structure of the painterly matter. The work is hand-signed by the artist and sold unframed.

JONASZ KOPERKIEWICZ
A graduate of the Faculty of Graphics and Painting at the Władysław Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź. In 2014, he defended his master's degree with honors in screen printing, and in 2020, he obtained his doctorate in the same discipline. Currently, he focuses on abstract painting, dominated by studies of color and form, which serve as a starting point for reflections on the nature of reality.
He perceives art as an activity on the borderline of mysticism, and the creator as a kind of medium and participant-observer who accompanies the process of transformation.
He creates new entities and brings them to life, fishing them out of nothingness. He considers style to be a secondary attribute, and focusing exclusively on the formal aspect to be an arrogance provoked by superficial ity toward the nature of the creative process.
